The Data Engineering Unit at Trask is helping organizations move from fragmented, legacy data environments to modern, cloud-native data platforms, enabling advanced data usage, including enterprise AI usage.
The team has 35 specialists and is growing significantly as new projects are coming. We deliver data solutions for clients mainly from industries such as FSI, Energy & Utilities, and Automotive & Manufacturing, while also having some projects for top worldwide leaders across the globe.
Our projects are mainly focused on helping companies to form their Data Strategy, while the most of projects are about data platform modernization (creations and migrations)

Your Mission
As a Data Architect, you'll help enterprise customers define and implement modern data platforms.
This role combines:
- Enterprise Data Architecture & Solutioning
- Consulting
- Presales
- Technology Leadership

You'll contribute to the next growth of the Data Engineering unit.
What Success Looks Like After 6 Months
- Become a trusted advisor – You are comfortable leading architecture discussions with enterprise customers, and you own technical direction on strategic engagements.
- Influence business growth - You are fully established in presales activities, RFP responses, and customer workshops that help generate new opportunities.
- Contribute to people and community growth – You share knowledge with colleagues, mentor engineers and aspiring architects, contribute to architecture standards and best practices, and help strengthen the Data & AI community.

Job description
Architecture & Delivery
- Design enterprise-grade data platforms
- Make critical technology decisions
- Design scalable Azure and Fabric solutions
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches
- Support delivery teams throughout project execution
- Act as the technical authority on assigned engagements
Presales & Consulting
- Participate in customer workshops
- Understand business and technical requirements
- Support RFP and tender responses
- Prepare solution concepts and architecture proposals
- Present recommended approaches to stakeholders
- Help customers define their target-state architecture
Personal Growth, Mentoring & Community Leadership
- Continuously develop your expertise across data architecture, cloud platforms, governance and analytics
- Shape your own professional development path with support from senior leaders
- Mentor engineers and emerging architects
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and represent Trask within the broader Data & AI community
- Potentially grow into a Team Lead, Principal Architect, or Competency Lead role as the practice continues to scale
Required qualifications
Must Have
- Experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, Lead Data Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, or similar role
- Strong understanding of modern cloud & data architecture principles
- Hands-on experience with Modern cloud data platforms, preferably Azure Data Platform OR Microsoft Fabric OR Databricks
- Experience communicating directly with business and technology stakeholders
- Ability to lead architecture discussions and make design decisions
- Fluent in Czech or Slovak and professional English
Nice to Have
- Data Warehousing expertise
- Data Lakehouse architecture experience
- Power BI knowledge
- Data Governance experience
- Microsoft certifications
