Job description
- Design and implement streaming data pipelines in Databricks using Structured Streaming, Auto Loader, and Delta Live Tables.
- Build a scalable and secure architecture for both real-time and batch data processing.
- Develop and maintain a robust data governance framework, including access management, data classification, and cataloging (Unity Catalog).
- Define and apply standards for metadata management, versioning, and data lineage.
- Design and implement integration strategies for event-driven data from platforms like Kafka, Event Hubs, or IoT.
- Collaborate with security and data teams to ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO standards, and internal governance requirements.
- Create technical documentation, reusable templates, and best practices for enterprise Databricks usage.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to data engineers in streaming and platform best practices.
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, particularly Structured Streaming, Auto Loader, Delta Live Tables, and Unity Catalog.
- Proven track record in designing high-availability, low-latency streaming solutions.
- Knowledge of data domain management, access control, classification, and lineage in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
- Experience with event streaming tools such as Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or AWS Kinesis.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), particularly in the areas of data security and compliance.
- Experience with CI/CD for data platforms, infrastructure provisioning (e.g., Terraform), and monitoring tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
- Very good command of both Czech and English is required.
