Currently we are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our team and work on a production grade native Android application used by real users. You will have the opportunity to be part of building and shaping the mobile development competence within Trask, contributing directly to its long term strategy and direction.

Job description
- Develop and maintain commercial native Android applications
- Work in a production environment using Kotlin and Android SDK
- Build UI primarily using Jetpack Compose as the main UI framework
- Work with the existing View system (XML) to complement Compose and handle its limitations
- Integrate backend services (REST APIs, authentication, error handling)
- Analyze, refactor, and extend existing Java/Kotlin Android codebases
- Collaborate closely with other developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience developing commercial native Android applications
- Strong production experience with Kotlin and Android SDK
- Hands on experience developing a production app with Jetpack Compose as the primary UI framework
- Solid knowledge of the View system (XML) and ability to work in existing codebases
- Experience with backend integration (REST APIs, authentication, error handling)
- Ability to understand, refactor, and extend existing Java/Kotlin/Android code
- Knowledge of common architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM)
- Understanding of unidirectional data flow / MVI like approaches
- Experience with Git and team based development
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous data processing
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
- Experience with automated testing (unit tests, UI tests)
- Experience with Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging)
